Payments

We ask that once you have committed to be a ranger that you pay regularly by bank transfer/standing order.  Horses are a commitment and we have limited space for members. You are expected to pay for sessions regardless of attendance.

Uniform

We are proud of our horse ranger uniform, it enables members to be smart and proud to be a Ranger.

A uniform is expensive to buy, so we suggest that you do not buy a uniform for the first 3 months. This is to allow you to settle in and make sure it is what you want. We do sell second hand uniforms whenever we can please ask at the office.

When a Ranger decides that it is time to leave we ask that the uniform is returned so we can sell it on

Badges can be purchased from the office depending on availability/stock.

Riding Hats and Body Protectors

It is crucial that riding hats are fitted correctly by someone who is trained to do this, as this should not be undertaken by the association. We therefore recommend that you buy riding hats from a retailer where staff have undergone specific training. Rangers must purchase a riding hat that is certified to meet current standards. Please ensure when you enrol you get your hat checked and tagged

Wearing body protectors whilst riding is optional; as with riding hats we recommend that body protectors are correctly fitted by a trained individual. The British Equestrian Trade Association provides further information for those wishing to purchase body protectors and riding hats.
